The 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup season was historic for the Empire, and not only because we continued to spread the gospel of neon. We set career highs in Top 5s (5) and Top 10s (13), showed our strength as the best car in the season opening Daytona 500, marked a return to victory lane and bid farewell to the great Slugger Labbe.

For the fourth consecutive season the Empire resided within the top ten in points for at least one race, lasting this season until the July race at New Hampshire. A three race series in which our Chase hopes vanished due to circumstances out of our control left the Empire longing for more, but memories of five top tens across a seven race stretch proved we more than have the neon power to do so.

We said so long the great Slugger Labbe, a man who has lead the Empire into battle for the past five seasons and has helped us attain our greatest glory. Even more impressive than his on track success is the reason why he elected to step aside, which shows that Slugger is not only a great crew chief, but a great man. Our new weekend general Justin Alexander has proven himself a worthy disciple, culminating in our season ending fourth place finish at Homestead.

Lastly, the Empire would not be where we are without the sport of our loyal 'Nardburns followers. Great things are coming in 2015 with our new partnership with Menards as we spread the power of neon and glorious facial hair to an even wider audience.

Thanks to RCR Racing, Paul, Slugger, Menards and the Neon Knights for all of  your support in both this year and years past.

The start of the 2015 season is just three months away...
